Corporate Aviation

Your Schedule, Not the Airline's

A roadshow is a scheduling problem before it is a travel problem. Five cities, four days, a fixed set of meetings and a team whose time is the most expensive part of the exercise. Scheduled aviation forces the meetings to fit the flights. Charter does the opposite.

Starflight Aviation has arranged corporate and financial charter since 1990, working from London Farnborough and Teterboro in New Jersey. We are an independent broker, so we select the aircraft and operator that suit each itinerary rather than the one that happens to be on our own books.

Aircraft Selection

Matching Aircraft to the Itinerary

For corporate work the longest sector usually sets the aircraft, not the passenger count. A cabin you can stand up and work in matters far more on a five hour leg than on a forty minute hop, and a smaller aircraft that can use a closer airport will often beat a larger one that cannot.

Confidentiality

Information Security as Standard

Corporate jet charter arranged by Starflight Aviation

During a live transaction, who is travelling and where they are going is itself sensitive information. Most brokers treat confidentiality as a matter of good manners. We treat it as a certified process.

  • ISO 27001:2022 certified. The international standard for information security management, independently audited. It covers how passenger data is stored, who can access it and how long it is kept.
  • Cyber Essentials certified. The UK government-backed scheme covering the technical controls on our own systems.
  • Need to know only. Manifests and itineraries are shared with the operator and handling agents to the extent required to run the flight, and no further.
  • Vetted operators. Every operator is independently verified through Wyvern and ARGUS before an aircraft is confirmed, covering the crew as well as the airframe.
  • Tail number privacy. Where the operator supports it, we can request that the aircraft registration is withheld from public flight tracking services.
  • Private terminals. Departure and arrival through dedicated business aviation terminals, with no shared concourse and, where the airport permits, vehicle access to the aircraft steps.

If your compliance team needs the certification detail for a supplier review, we can provide it directly.

Corporate & Roadshow Charter

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from corporate travel managers, executive assistants and finance teams.

What is a financial roadshow charter?

A roadshow charter is a private aircraft dedicated to a team for the duration of an investor tour, typically covering several cities across consecutive days. The aircraft waits between meetings rather than the team waiting for flights, which is what makes the format work. It is most commonly used around fundraising, IPOs and results presentations, where the meeting diary is fixed and the cost of missing a slot is high.

How many cities can we realistically cover in a day?

Within Europe, three cities in a working day is comfortable and four is achievable on the right routing. The limits are sector length, ground time between airport and meeting, and flight crew duty rules. We will build the itinerary against the actual meeting times and tell you honestly where it is too tight, rather than confirming something that falls apart by mid-afternoon.

Can the itinerary change once the roadshow has started?

Yes, and on a live roadshow it usually does. Because the aircraft is dedicated to you it can be redirected without rebooking, subject to slot availability, airport opening hours and crew duty limits. Changes made the evening before are straightforward. Changes made an hour beforehand depend on the destination. We staff roadshows so that one named person holds the file for the whole tour rather than passing it between shifts.

How is passenger information kept confidential?

Starflight is certified to ISO 27001:2022 for information security management and holds Cyber Essentials certification. Passenger names, manifests and itineraries are handled under audited controls and shared only with the operator and handling agents to the extent needed to run the flight. Where an operator supports it, we can request that the aircraft registration is withheld from public flight tracking. If your compliance team needs the certification detail for a supplier review, we can supply it.

Which airports do you use around London and New York?

Our UK base is London Farnborough, a dedicated business aviation airport with no scheduled traffic, typically taking passengers from car to cabin in under fifteen minutes. We also use Luton, Biggin Hill, Northolt and London City where the routing suits. In the New York area our base is Teterboro in New Jersey, the closest business aviation airport to Manhattan, with Westchester and Morristown as alternatives.

Can you provide carbon reporting for our ESG obligations?

Yes. Every flight can be offset through our Carbon Responsible Programme, which combines Cool Earth rainforest protection, supported since 2009, with flight-specific verified offsets through 4AIR. We can supply emissions figures for each individual flight rather than an annual estimate, which is generally what corporate reporting requires. Ask for this at the point of quoting and it will be included alongside the itinerary.

Can you arrange ground transport between meetings?

Yes. Vehicles are arranged at each end and timed against the flight, which matters more than it sounds when the schedule is tight. Where the airport permits it we can arrange for the vehicle to meet the aircraft on the ramp, removing the terminal walk entirely. On multi-city itineraries we coordinate the ground legs alongside the flying so there is one schedule rather than several.

How far in advance should a roadshow be booked?

Two to three weeks gives the widest choice of aircraft and the best pricing, particularly for multi-day itineraries where the aircraft is dedicated for the whole period. That said, we regularly arrange corporate flights within a few hours, and single sectors at short notice are routine. Peak periods around major financial calendar dates and large conferences tighten availability considerably, so book those earlier.

Can you handle catering and specific onboard requirements?

Yes. Catering, dietary and religious requirements, connectivity, printing and meeting layout in the cabin are all arranged as part of the booking. On roadshows it is worth telling us early if the team needs to work in flight, because connectivity varies significantly between aircraft and it can influence which one we recommend.

What drives the cost of a corporate charter?

The main factors are aircraft class, total flying hours, how far the aircraft has to position to reach your first departure, overnight and crew duty costs on multi-day itineraries, and airport, handling and landing fees at each stop. Dedicated multi-day bookings are priced differently from single sectors because the aircraft is held for you throughout. We quote the full cost of the itinerary, itemised, with cancellation terms stated at the same time rather than in the small print.
