About Starflight Aviation
35 years of operational excellence. One standard, consistently exceeded.
The Company
Boutique. Independent. Established.
Starflight Aviation is a boutique private aviation brokerage with over 35 years of operating history. We are not an operator — we own no fleet. We are an independent broker, which means our only allegiance is to our clients. When we source an aircraft, we are searching the entire global market for the right solution at the right price, with no commercial pressure to fill any particular aircraft or route.
We operate from two of the world's most prestigious private aviation hubs: Farnborough Airport in Hampshire — Europe's premier dedicated private aviation terminal — and Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, the gateway to New York and the world's busiest business aviation airport. We also maintain sales presence across Chicago, Florida, Arizona, and Washington DC.
Our clients span every sector in which private aviation matters most: global music and entertainment, financial services and corporate roadshows, government and diplomatic travel, sport, film, and ultra-high-net-worth private clients who require discretion and reliability in equal measure.
We don't have voicemails. We don't set an out-of-office. One of our experienced charter specialists is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year — because the kind of travel we manage rarely respects office hours.
The Story Behind Starflight
In the Beginning — Knebworth 1990
In 1990, Starflight Aviation was exclusively responsible — in its capacity as official air carrier to the Music Therapy Trust — for flying an estimated one billion dollars' worth of rock superstars into and out of the Knebworth 1990 concert. Tears for Fears, Genesis, Status Quo, Robert Plant, Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, and Pink Floyd all shared the same bill in what was the most spectacular array of all-British talent ever to assemble for a single show.
On the day, Starflight carried out 250 movements using a fleet of 15 helicopters, operating to a timetable that had been precisely calculated down to the very last second. With many other VIPs also being flown in, the sheer volume of traffic led to a second temporary airfield being constructed near Hemel Hempstead to serve as a feeder. It was the first time that the Civil Aviation Authority had licensed a temporary airfield primarily for night flying.
The Civil Aviation Authority officially complimented Starflight on the high standard of professionalism with which everything had been organised and completed.
Civil Aviation Authority, 1990 — a commendation we continue to earn today
Knebworth 1990 was not simply a landmark event — it was the proof of concept for an entire company. The operational precision required to move 250 helicopter movements in a single day, to a published timetable, at a temporary airfield flying at night for the first time, established standards that Starflight has maintained and exceeded across every subsequent engagement.
In the 35 years since, Starflight has proudly continued to fly the worlds of music, film, sport, corporate, government, and entertainment to destinations both near and far. The roster of artists, executives, and officials we have served reads like a who's who of global culture and commerce — none of whom we will name, because discretion is as fundamental to our offer as operational excellence.
The Knebworth story is told not to impress, but to illustrate a principle: when the stakes are highest, when the logistics are most complex, and when there is no margin for error, Starflight delivers. That was true in 1990. It is true today.
Our Approach
How We Work
We Learn You
We learn your preferences, your catering choices, your favoured aircraft types, your newspapers of choice, your non-negotiables. Our team makes certain that every flight with Starflight reflects exactly who you are as a traveller.
We Vet Every Operator
We only place bookings with operators that meet strict safety, certification, insurance, and regulatory standards. Independent assessments, including Wyvern and ARGUS where applicable, may form part of our review. Every proposed flight is reviewed before confirmation.
We Stay With You
Our involvement does not end at booking confirmation. We remain in contact throughout the trip — managing changes, contingencies, and the kind of last-minute requirements that complex travel invariably produces.
Accreditations & Standards
Certified to the Highest Standards
These are not just badges. Each represents a rigorous, independently audited commitment to quality, safety, and information security that protects our clients at every point of the journey.
